Minute for Residency information session
We had the Residency Information Session on May 22, 2016 from 2 pm to 5 pm at SCBA Hall/ Dr. Zaw Tun’s clinic (Address: 629 E.Garvey Ave. Monterey Park, CA 91755). Thirteen residency candidates, 2 recently matched residents, and all EC Staff attended the session. One candidate came from Florida and another from Northern California.
The program started with self-introduction of the applicants, followed by Dr. Than Lin describing about residency statistics, application timeline, resume and personal statement. Afterwards, Dr. Khine Khine Win discussed with applicants about interview preparation and application tips from various program directors. Then Dr Kyaw Moe and Dr. Mya Myo Aye described interviewers’ perspective on selecting the resident.
